Jazz Richards has signed a new two year deal to stay at the Liberty Stadium

The news that the young Swansea City talent has signed for a further two years is good news for Swans fans and will keep Richards at the club until 2012 at least.

The club had waited on the news of Richards - who missed out on a first senior Wales cap on Sunday because of a holiday - since the turn of the year with paper talk speculating of interest from elsewhere.

But they announced the news on the official website this morning with Chairman Huw Jenkins saying "We've agreed a deal with Jazz and his agent

"As a club we are delighted to secure such an exciting young talent.

"He has come through the ranks with us and I'm sure he has bright future ahead of him with Swansea City.''

The Swans are still waiting for news on other contract offers including Andrea Orlandi, Leon Britton and Shaun MacDonald.
