LFW's look ahead to the forthcoming weekends fixtures in the Coca Cola Championship.

With the FA Cup taking centre stage, there is a smaller than usual Championship programme what with West Brom, Cardiff and Barnsley all having quarter final ties. West Brom travel to Bristol Rovers, Cardiff to Middlesborough and Barnsley take on holders, Chelsea at Oakwell.

Other than that, I must say there is a pretty drab list of Championship fixtures left behind with the Humberside derby between Hull and Scunthorpe at the KC Stadium, the stand out fixture of the day.

With Watford not playing, leaders Bristol City have a great chance to consolidate their position at the top and travel to Ian Holloway's Leicester, who midweek, were beaten in the last minute by Preston. The Lilywhites this week, travel to Charlton who will be looking to make up some ground on the teams above them, with WBA missing out this weekend.  Third placed Stoke, take on Burnley at the Brittania.

Plymouth will be hoping to extend their stay in the top six with a home game against Sheffield United. The Pilgrims stormed back into the play off spots with a 4-1 win over bottom club, Colchester on Tuesday. Things get no easier for the U's with a tough looking trip to Selhurst Park to take on Palace on Saturday.

The LFW's preview of the R's visit to Sheffield Wednesday will be on line shortly...
