Watford v Blackpool Preview
Friday, 23rd Jan 2015 18:16 by Editor

So Blackpool's 14th attempt this season to get a league win and they've not chosen the easiest of locations. With Watford back in the top six and looking for another Play Off ticket, Lee Clark's side have a massive obstacle to overcome if they're to rid themselves of their unwanted away record and bridge the gap on those sides above them.

With the news this week that Grant Hall is injured and Tony McMahon has a minor niggle, it could be another change to the back four for the Seasiders. Cubero and McKenzie failed to get a game under their belts this week and so are unlikely to challenge whilst Ishmael Miller returns to the Blackpool fold.

Watford have been hit by a spate of injuries ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship clash with Blackpool at Vicarage Road. Sean Murray is out after undergoing surgery on his knee earlier this week, while fellow midfielder Almen Abdi faces three to four weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Defenders Joel Ekstrand (back) and Gabriel Tamas (knee) are still missing along with striker Fernando Forestieri (hamstring).
Midfielder Gianni Munari suffered a hamstring injury during last weekend's 5-0 win over Charlton and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

The games are starting to run our and the pressure to pick up points increases. Avoiding defeat would be a start but in the long term probably not enough.
