Schneiderlin Could be Back For Season Finale But Tadic May Not Be
Thursday, 7th May 2015 16:03

Morgan Schneiderlin is recovering faster than was anticipated and could play some part before the end of the season.

Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Morgan Schneiderlin could be involved in the final two games of the season which would be a big boost to Saints run in for a Europa Cup place.

Speaking about the French midfielders progress Koeman said.

“It’s going much better but not close to be part of training.

“I mentioned last week maybe he is out until the end of the season but maybe fit for the last one or two.

“We have to wait but it looks a bit more positive than a week ago.”

Koeman also admitted that Dusan Tadic may have played his last game for the club this season and may now be rested to ensure he is fit for next.

“That’s possible because I spoke to Dusan and he was struggling a long time with a groin problem and we said ‘ok we have to stop now, we can’t continue like this because maybe you have in pre-season the same problem for next season’,” reported Koeman.

“It’s going better but going slowly and maybe yes, maybe not, but we will see.”

Koeman confirmed that Jay Rodriguez and Emmanuel Mayuka are both back in regular training, but neither is ready for this weekend’s game at Leicester although given that Rodriguez is yet to play a game and Mayuka's involvement has been minimal this will not affect Saints preparation and chances for the final three games as much as missing Tadic.
