Monk Hails "Exciting Talent"

Garry Monk is clearly a happy man having secured the signing of Franck Tabanou ahead of the new season.

Tabanou put pen to paper yesterday on a three year deal to be at the Swans and will provide immediate competition for Wales international Neil Taylor at left back, something which we need if we are to build on last season's record breaking term.

Monk has long since been a big advocate of having competition all over the park and slowly but surely he is getting his squad to the position where they have just that.

Tabanou arrives from St Etienne where he made over 70 appearances in two years, finding the net on 1 occasion

β€œIt's an excellent signing that I'm looking forward to working with individually and as part of the group,” said the Swans boss

"He is exactly the type of player we are looking for. He's young, talented and looking to make the next step up in his career.

"He has the right attributes to fit in here and increase the competition and quality in the squad.

"He's come from a good club and is an exciting talent that I'm sure the supporters will enjoy watching.”
