Ryan Fulton is targeting more clean sheets and a winning run for Pompey after his first shut-out for the Blues.

He has come close to clean sheets - particularly at Morecambe and Exeter - but finally achieved one in the 2-0 win at Stevenage which strengthened Pompey's position in the play-off places in League Two.

Now on-loan Liverpool stopper wants to build on his display at the Lamex, and hopes the team can do the same.

He told the Pompey website: 'It’s a great feeling to get that first clean sheet and hopefully there are plenty more to come. The win’s the most important thing, but you’ve obviously got more chance of doing that when you don’t concede.

'It’s been disappointing at times, especially when we’ve let goals in so late, like on Tuesday night. But we scored two good goals and it was an important result for us — now we want to go on a decent run.

'The fans are crazy and it shows you how big this club is when we get so many people coming to watch us. They want to see us pushing for promotion, so we need to build on the Stevenage result and win plenty more games.'

Pompey have a huge game ahead of them on Tuesday night when they go to fourth-placed Accrington. Then they host Newport County on Saturday.
