West Ham Game Approaching A Sell Out Monday, 14th Aug 2017 11:38 With five days to go before the game the fixture against West Ham United is looking to be a second successive sell out at St Mary's.
With five days to go there are only around 800 tickets available for the visit of the Hammers on Saturday and they look likely to go over the next few days.
With the visitors already having sold out their 3,200 allocation already it looks like being another full house and the usual loud atmosphere from the London contingent whcih will hopefully stir up the Saints support in response
Also on sale today are tickets for the trip to Crystal Palace in a few weeks time, when we hope to make it two sell out away trips in a row folowing on from the Huddersfield tickets being snapped up.

West Ham will provide far more of a test than Swansea and will maybe give us some idea of whether spending big and more frequently is the way to go in the summer. I'd be gutted if we don't win this one as two points or less from two opening home games would be hard to take. Although I think a contingent of the fanbase would just be happy to see a goal at the moment! Interesting seeing us heavily linked with yet another midfielder this morning. A goalscoring midfielder from Celtic. Surely that would spell the end for one of the current squad! We can't really play 6 in the middle.

I think we have enough midfielders this is his agent trying to drum up interest in the highest ranking Premier league clubs who would be interested

You might be right Nick although the media agency I've seen reporting it have been right about every other Saints' dealing (inbound) in the past couple of seasons. Whilst our focus has to be central defence and maybe a quality striker, I still wouldn't object to signing a midfielder who could find the net. Our strikers can't at the moment, so goals from anywhere would be appreciated.

If we are consistently selling out our home games, could the expansion of St Mary's be up for discussion again soon?

With the recently announced buy in /takeover -could this realign /subsidise some of our costs to make the 'match day experience' more viable for more of us? In which case I'd rather see spoilt players moved on for decent money instead of encouraging them to decompose under our noses.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Southampton Polls |
