Saints fans will de devastated at the news ! One of the pleasures of the Virgil Van Dijk saga has been the responses on his twitter account from Saints legend Matt Le Tissier to the Liverpool media frenzy, but we didn't expect him to jump ship and want to join Liverpool himself. Clearly he has been unsettled by what must surely constitute an illegal approach from the Merseyside club. On his twitter account @mattletiss7 Le God declared. "Happy deadline day everybody, keeping my phone on in case Jurgen calls if the VVD one falls thru, i can play sweeper in a back 3 😉" This would be a mighty blow to Saints supporters if the man who has been loyal to the club for over 30 years suddenly uprooted to Merseyside.
