Last Few Tickets Left For Newcastle Game
Saturday, 14th Oct 2017 09:50

Saints look likely to make it five home sell outs in a row for the visit of Newcastle United with the last few tickets likely to be snapped up by Saturday lunchtime.

Very few tickets remain for the game against the Toon Army on Sunday, a quick look at the club's online ticketing system shows that although couple of sections have a couple of dozen seats available in a block, most are sold out or have only the odd seat here and there available.

So with only 100 or so still left it seems likely that by lunchtime these too will be gone to make it five straight Premier league home fixtures completely sold out, something that has never been done from the start of the season and perhaps never in our history, proving that although Saints supporters are not enthused at the moment by the results on the pitch and lack of goals, they remain as loyal as any other fane.

Our friends down at the Eastern End of the M27 like to self profess themselves the best supporters in the World, but when they were in the Premier League they could not sell out a ground only holding 21,000, they might try to ridicule our support and I myself have criticised it at times, but the fact remains that Southampton supporters are loyal and stay behind their team as has been shown by the sell outs this season even when things arent going so well.

How can that be possible when they are bigger than Barcelona?. What about the 250,000 they have in a holding pen on Southsea Common every single home came?. Your not suggesting they make things up are you Nick?

It's sold ou,t which makes it the 10th consecutive home league game to sell out As the Club would not welcome demand for them to invest money in stadium expansion, this means they will probably increase ticket prices next season to cool interest, although sustained poor performances on the pitch might help them keep demand down.
