Ticket Exchange Open As Newcastle Game Sells Out Sunday, 15th Oct 2017 10:03 As predicted on this site yesterday the final tickets for the visit of Newcastle United were sold by lunchtime making it five Premier League sell outs in a row, however you can still buy a ticket via the ticket exchange system. Ironically there are now more tickets available for this game this morning than there were 24 hours ago before it officially sold out after the ticket exchange was opened. For those that are not aware of this system, once all the tickets are sold for a game, season ticket holders who are unable to attend can then re sell their tickets via the club who will, if they sell the ticket then give them a credit towards next years season ticket. This is a good system especially as in today's modern game with so many fixture changes due to TV, there are those who cannot make every game. This seems to be the case after the official sell out and there now seem to be far more tickets available today than there were on Saturday. One anomality though is that there seem to be a couple of clusters of seats now avaialble that weren't yesterday, I find it strange that there should suddenly be a row of 10 seats now for sale in the first row behind the Chapel End goal and around 20 seats together at the back of the same stand. But whatever the reason it does mean that seats don't remain empty if a season ticket holder can't make it and can be filled by someone who want to go to the game.
