Ticket Exchange Open As Liverpool Game Sells Out Monday, 5th Feb 2018 15:04 As expected the Liverpool game has now sold out, but Saints supporters still have an opportunity to buy seats via the ticket exchange system. I say that it was expected that the Liverpool game would sell out, but after the last two home games against Spurs and Brighton failing to do just that it would perhaps not have been too much of a surprise if it hadn't But despite their failure to dominate the English game as they once did Liverpool still remain perhaps second only to Manchester United in their ability to fill a football stadium, certainly for Saints fans it is these two clubs who attract the most interest and although we might not figure as big in their history as they do in ours, it is a fixture that we like to win. The return of several of our ex players to St Mary's is something we like to see especially if we can put one over them yet again. I won't be cynical and question why it could have been anything else than the above why this game has sold out and Spurs didn't ! So if you missed out buying a ticket over the past weeks you now have another chance to get a seat and ironically you now have more chance of being able to buy tickets together than in the past week or so, but also seats with a decent view, the ticket exchange allows season ticket holders who are unable to attend the game to sell their ticket through the club rather than leave it empty. Some call this licensed ticket touting by the club, but personally I see it for what it is, a chance for those who can't go to get credit on their tickets and as I say a seat being filled by a Saints supporter. It's a little hit and miss as tickets come on the market at different times, so if you go on and there is nothing available then that doesn't mean there won't be in an hour or a day's time indeed right up to kick off. If you are a season ticket holder and don't know about the system then take a look especially if you can't go this Sunday.
