One in, one out - so far. Armstrong's record with Celtic looks impressive, but lots of Prem. clubs reject the idea that Scots players are good enough for the English game. Saints list of Celtic signings suggests that it's not altogether true. Wanyama, Forster, and VvD didn't look out of place neither did Boruc who had a spell with Celtic before coming to us via Italy. Perhaps Armstrong's "critics" should see him in a few games before they start to call him a waste of money.

The latest rumour of us signing Elyounoussi sounds most exciting. I watched him destroy Man .City single-handedly when City lost a CL game to Basle. Could he become "the new Mane?" We can hope - given time - he might bring a new dimension to Saints attack.

As for Tadic 's departure. (?) In the long term it's a win-win situation. He will be 30 before the end of the year and although we've seen him perform in some good (and important games) he really has been inconsistant in the last two years and his critics had a field day (and not without reason sometimes). 4 years on we've recouped our original outlay and had his best years, His return to Holland in a revived Ajax side will help them recover former glories in a league that is a bit down-market than the Prem.

P.S . YES... I know none of the named players (above) were Scottish, but I refer more to those who have played in the Scottish League, rather than their nationalities.
