The debate on who we should have signed and who should have gone in the summer is purely academic now - at least until January 1st. Our "young" squad... (secónd youngest in the Prem.) hasn't "gelled yet " and their are few/none of our senior players around with the experience to guide them on the pitch. The likes of Davis and Yoshida should still be in the start side - even if they are nearing the end of their Prem careers.
MH perseveres with the "expensive" favourites we have, and it's time for the "B Squad" to show their talent. In the media reports - we've already lost the game - and it heaps more pressure on MH with the next League game coming againts a rampant Chelsea side.

Clearly the problem goes back far beyond MH s arrival and his Prem. saving exploits and it's clear that whether we go a goal down, or even 2 goals up the thought of actually winning a game seems beyond the team mental capacities. We can blame those disorganised moments in the defence, or the strikers who just can't find the net, but the reality is until we haven't come over the last two managers "negative tactics" philosophy.

I don't blame MH nearly as much as some fans seem to, and he, of all people, know what it means to score goals - and win games, and to all those people who say that the "language of football is universal" I think a few more players need " a good translator".

Tonight's result may not be be vital in the whole plan of things, but our performance; win, lose or draw on Sunday will be more meaningful for the future of this team - and how we come out - after the next internatioanl break - may be make or break for both the manager and some of the " star signings " we have made.
Many of them who've arrived in the last 2 seasons may have been "great shakes" in their prev. European clubs but perhaps the Prem. has been " a move too far ".
