To be fair- I think we had good spells where we stifled Bournemouth and in the last 10 minutes it was Saints who had the best chances to win the game and Eddie Howe was probably most pleased with one point. Overall, this stalemate had all the ingredients of a competative " derby-type " match. A few clashes of heads, some tough tackling and the odd bookings, but it was the sort of game where for different reasons, both sides were afraid to lose .

Those of you who don't like stats. should avert your eyes, but once again, we've had more shots this season (125) than some of the top 6 , (only M.City, Tottenham and Chelsea have had more), but managed only 6 league goals. NOTE: even Newcastle have only managed 6 so far.

Of course, there was no disgrace in losing games v. Liverpool and Chelsea, both of whom have yet to lose a Prem. match this season. Inevitably it is MH who gets most criticism, but be fair - he's not out on the pitch and even the signing of Ings hasn't boosted the other 3 strikers to open their accounts. It's not as if we have a young / inexperienced strike force as these guys have close on 1000 games (at various clubs) between them ..but their current record is nothing short of abysmal.

Whatever it is that MH can instill in to them has to be shown next week..anything less than a win may see us in the bottom 3 in amonths time. Not sure if he needs to use soft words, or a baseball bat to the head in order to improve them, but we need an upturn in form and we need it NOW.
