UEFA Set Transfer Window Closing Date Tuesday, 14th Jul 2020 13:04 Many Saints supporters are completely oblivious to when the transfer window will open and close this summer, here we bring you the dates as recommended by UEFA. Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has already confirmed the transfer window will not open until the season ends on July 26 and that date is looming. However UEFA has confirmed the date that the window will close for all clubs and that is set as 5th October 2020 and it is urging all of it's member leagues to harmonise that date as the deadline for all. With most major European Leagues now not expected to start until the first week of September, this will allow clubs more than a two month window to make new signings as well as a month after the start of most seasons. That will not please some clubs as it will mean that there will be a four week period after the season starts where they could be pillaged by another club, certainly knowing the way Spurs operate there will be the chance they will delay their bids for Hojbjerg until late in this window to try and force Saints accept a low bid for an unsettled player.
