First time we've been able to close the game out in ages. Good team choice, good subs, Insgy back on the score sheet, Ward Prowse defended and produced, the young lads came in and did very well and no Long in sight! Could be a turning point especially for the young lads and I think Ralph felt that in his emotions.

Get in there !!
Tremendous result and performance from one and all.
Great to see everyone putting in a shift and even the subs doing well. Shame Tella and Valery couldn't score and that Liverpool resorted to diving, but I guess that shows how well we played and frustrated them.
Think in the end, including Djenepo, we probably had more out than Liverpool, which makes it even sweeter and probably explains why Ralph was so emotional.

What a season we are having! Beating Liverpool with - besides Shane Long - only homegrown players with an average age og 21 years on the bench is for me one of the proudest moments in my 40+ years as a Saints fan. Seeing Ralph, at the end of the game, go down on his knees with tears of joy, gave me goosebumps.
GET IN THERE.
Leicester and Everton are the two teams I see as our main rivals in staying in the top 7 (European football), and I can see us staying around them in the table throughout the season.

Ibrahima Diallo, already SO tactically well educated and safe in his receiving and delevering the ball, was superb - as was every Saints player.
It was Diallos smart heading the ball above Thiago into the path of Armstrong - in the first third of Liverpools half - which resulted in the free kick, which JWP, superbly, smartly, chipped - with a hell of a lot of rotation in it, rotating away from Ings' marker, Arnold, - above the Liverpool backline, towards the NEAR post, into the path of Ings - WHILE PROTENDING to make a cross towards the FAR post towards Bednarek/Stephens. BRILLIANT.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU. <3

A great all round brave performance by all the team. Valery looked good coming on in a more forward position. I hope that he is not moved on to another club, there surely is a future for him at Saints
