Che Adams Doubt For Visit of Leeds United
Monday, 11th Oct 2021 09:44

Saints striker Che Adams is a doubt for the game against Leeds United on Saturday after coming off with an injury in Scotland's dramatic injury time win over Israel at Hampden Park on Saturday and Ralph Hasenhuttl will be sweating over his fitness.

Che Adams has been perhaps the most impressive of Saints strikers so far, not in terms of goals but in the way he has created chances and led the line, his harassment of the Everton defence lead to the goal for his strike partner Adam Armstrong and against United it was his deflected shot that gave Saints the lead,

Although he hasn't yet opened his own account in the Premier League he is still a vital cog in our attack.

So the news that his substitution due to a muscle injury against Israel may keep him out of the Scot's next clash away to the Faroe Islands will not be greeted with enthusiasm by Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The news from the Scotland camp is sketchy, but it seems he may be released from International duty to return to Staplewood for treatment, so that is good news.

The way Boja scores for Albania maybe he should get more chances to lead the line!!?

If Adams is struggling with fitness then surely Broja has to start against Leeds? It's highly unlikely that he'll contribute much to the high press tactic but I can live with that if he's capable of getting the ball in the opposition net. If, on the other hand, Shane Long is picked to start ahead of Broja then I will be somewhat more convinced by the argument that RH should be replaced sooner than later.
