codge added 22:12 - Dec 1 Goalkeeper two errors cost Saints again he can’t defend the near post to save his life,l don’t know what Forster has to do to get a game l guess MaCarthy has something on Hasenhuttl or he would of been gone a long time ago.Three points lost a game we should of won and lucky to have got a draw, so frustrating to be a Saints fan and l have been one now for 67yrs and will always be one but they do make difficult at times.COYR.

Leicester improved in the second half but we stuck at it and both teams had opportunities to win late on. We played some excellent football in the first half and some of the new training ground moves worked a treat. Happy with a point tonight.

McCarthy what can you say! He's like the anti Che Adams makes the difficult saves look easy and the easy saves goals. Great game to watch. Redmond once again revelling in the free roaming role. Adams now regularly scoring. Tella must get more time after this. Leicester fouled their way through the second half and squandered several chances and Madison man of the match..Nope Roll on Brighton COYR

Brighton will be a very different one - just hope misguided complacency doesn't kick in for player or manager. Keep it simple, round pegs in round holes - particularly for the winnable games - of which for a club like saints we need to snatch those points. Coyrs - together as one

silverspringsaint added 00:17 - Dec 2 Another fairly typical outcome of a Saints game - we score first again, but if the oppo gets one or two back, best we can hope for is a draw! Entertaining game though. We lived dangerously at times in defence. I thought KWP made a number of mistakes and would see a better balance to the team with Perraud in on the left. McCarthy should have done better with the first goal but otherwise did well in my view. Attack as usual left much to be desired, not enough cutting edge and poor decision making. I feel sorry for Adam Armstrong - the lad tries but he lacks composure and confidence at this level. Then again some of us had said that before about Che - and now Adams is really playing well!

TimSaint added 11:32 - Dec 2 2 more howlers to add to the ever increasing catalogue of McCarthy errors. I really do despair for the team and the points he is costing us. If you just take the 3 v Norwich and 2 from last night, see what difference those 5 points would make to our league position. The whole complexion of the team and manager would be totally different. Bottom line is though, we don't score enough and we always gift the opposition a goal or 2 and last night we even tried to gift them a winner a few times too !! We were so poor in the 2nd half. The early goal took the stuffing out of us and despite a lot of huffing and puffing, we created little. A Armstrong is out of his depth. He cannot even control the ball. Unless we play to his strengths (his pace) there is no point in him being on the pitch. Tino had a quiet game, but Leicester did a job on him - in fact they did a job on the ref. They went down at every opportunity and he bought it every time, almost encouraging it !! Yet when we tried to stay on our feet, he didn't pull it back for the original foul and was pedantic about where we took thrown ons and free kicks, but didn't care where Leicester took theirs from. Blatant favouritism. Still, I perhaps would have taken a 2-2 before hand, but it was disappointing to throw away a lead twice. On to Brighton then and here's hoping the team in the first half show up for the whole game. Could do with Stu Armstrong back as well.

saint901 added 14:18 - Dec 2 I thought that there were a number of positives to take from the match. We looked to move forward when we could and the usual second half slump was avoided. Perhaps the extra minutes helped. (I hope whoever was involved in the medical emergency is recovering). We kept some belief in the system even when pegged back and could have snatched a win. Given the form Leicester brought into the game, overall I thought it was positive. Our first and their first goals were scrappy and could have just as easily not happened. Our second was good and theirs was our errors. The ref had a few unfortunately moments when he tried to play advantage but it didn't work out for the team in possession. He was however willing to give every 50/50 to Leicester and ignored some blatant time wasting from Maddison in particular. I've ranked him a 4/10 but to be fair refs usually get a max of 7. There were some negatives for me. McCarthy beaten again at the near post. Admittedly Maddison was inside the 6 yard box and hit it well, but it was past him before he moved. For a full back, Livramento is skinned too easily for me. He looks great going forward, but his primary role is a defender and I thought he was exposed by Vardy and Maddison. Salisu is prone to mad chicken moments. I used to think that Yoshida was good for one major error a game and I fear he has passed that on to Salisu. Redmond and Tella had good games, esp first half. Likewise Adams. I think Armstrong continues to struggle because he's trying to do things too fast. He's thinking about what's next before he has the ball under control and a couple of times he stumbled. Perhaps he needs to calm down a little. KWP had a very mixed time. Some very good, some very bad. He continues to get exposed because he favours his right foot and the coaches need to work on that. Bednarek was sound enough but he and Salisu are guilty of ball watching and sometimes don't work together well. Romeu was solid and did his job which was to blunt their midfield. I think he tired a little and as a result we got a little overwhelmed in the last 15 and could have lost the game there. JWP is an enigma. He was busy, got his foot in when needed, made some decent passes, put in some decent crosses. He also went missing a couple of times, notably when Maddison did him like a kipper and went upfield to score. Broja did well - Lyanco not so well. Ely had a decent chance but seems to be afraid of giving the ball some air (as all of our forwards were) perhaps because their keeper is well known as a shot stopper? Overall encouraging and looking forward to Brighton who will pose a different threat.
