Coming swiftly after the loan departures announcements of Matteuz Lis, Jake Vokins & Dynel Simeu comes the news that Dynel Simeu will also depart St Mary's on loan, suggesting that another central defender could be in through the door before the night is over.

Dynel Simeu will join Tranmere Rovers on a season long loan following on to his loan spell at Carlisle United last season.

One man excited by this is Tranmere manager Micky Mellon who had this to say.

“Dynel is a powerful and strong defender and we’re delighted that we’ve been able to bring him in for the rest of the season.

“As I mentioned earlier today in the press conference, we did want to add to that area of the squad with the injury list that we currently have so to add a player of Dynel’s quality, we’re really pleased.

“We’ll get him up to speed and integrated into the group as quickly as possible to add to our options.”
