McLeod Ruled Out For Rest Of Season Thursday, 6th Mar 2008 21:09 Loanee Izale McLeod will be out for up to nine months after a scan revealed that the striker sustained significant ligament damage in the U's game against Plymouth on Tuesday.McLeod, who joined the U's on a months loan from Charlton last Friday, was strectchered off in the 4-1 defeat at Home Park after clashing with Krisztian Timar, and yesterday had a scan on the injury. Charlton physio Steve Allen explained on the Charlton club site: "Izale has unfortunately sustained a spontaneous dislocation to his left knee, which resulted in him rupturing his cruciate ligament, significantly damaging both his collateral ligaments and also suffering from a torn meniscus. "Izale will be in brace for approximately three weeks prior to reconstructive surgery, and will then undergo an intensive rehabilitation period which will keep him out for first-team football for about nine months." On behalf of all U's fans we'd like to wish McLeod a speedy recovery. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
