Will Kelvin Be Tempted To The Premier

Saints supporters were worried tonight as rumours emerged that Kelvin Davis may be the subject of another bid from West Ham United.

Its believed that Robert Green may be on his way out of Upton park and that the Hammers may be turning their attentions to either David James or Kelvin Davis.

James would of course be the expensive option and given his age and injury record over the past year or so, he might just be too big a gamble at the price, so East London eyes might just turn a little further west, where West ham may feel that they could get Kelvin for a reasonable price.

Last year of course Davis turned the Hammers down and opted to be first choice at Saints rather than understudy at West Ham, however the chance of a first team spot might be very tempting as the capital prepares itself for a summer of goalkeeping mery go rounds, with Fulham also being linked with both James and Green.

Will Saints be open to offers, that we will have to wait and see, of course we dont need the money so if the current Saints number 1 is to be prised away it will take a very hefty bid, however if that cash is laid on the table then Alan Pardew may feel that in Bart Bialkowski he has a keeper who is perhaps now ready to take over the first team gloves after his impressive spell last season, the question then would be whether Pardew would sign another keeper or be happy to go with Tommy Forecast as the number 2.

Of course these are just some of the transfer rumours doing the rounds at the moment, but they do have a little more substance than others.

Just another snippet... and part of the merry go round, Richard Wright could be on his way to Palace.
He is meeting George Burley for formal talks this morning.
