First pre-season friendly arranged
First pre-season friendly arranged
Tuesday, 6th Jul 2010 11:14

Despite not having a manager or squad in place, the Hatters have revealed that their pre-season programme will begin with a friendly game against Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle. With the Edgeley Park surface undergoing extensive remedial work over the summer, the game will be played away from Stockport.

The drains for the pitch were dug up and replaced following the end of last season so the club have taken the decision to give the new grass seed as much time to bed in before playing matches on the surface by playing home matches away from Edgeley Park. Our first organised friendly of the summer will take place at Witton Albion's Wincham Park ground.

The Hatters take on Terry Butcher's side on Monday 26th July with the game scheduled to take place at 7:45pm. The Caley Jags will provide a stern test for the Hatters as they won promotion back to the Scottish Premier League after winning the First Division title last season.

Tickets for the friendly are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children and concessions.
