Premiership newcomers Blackpool have been linked with a move for former Dale winger Patrick McCourt, and could be looking at paying in excess of half a million pounds for his services.

Scottish newspapers have reported that Celtic have already turned down a bid of £350,000 for McCourt, and are looking for a fee closer to double that amount to take the Derry born midfielder away from Celtic Park.

Paddy has been restricted to mostly substitute appearances for the Scottish giants, with just three league starts since joining them in the Summer of 2008.

However, 2010-11 will be the final year of his contract, and whilst manager Neil Lennon is believed to be a big admirer of Paddy, the Celtic board might just cash in on her services now rather than leave for nothing.
