Saints At Leicester City The Preview
Saturday, 12th Jan 2019 08:00

One problem get solved and another emerges for Ralph Hasenhuttl, but you just feel that he is the man to turn adversity into success for Saints.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has an injury crisis, he has two key players suspended and he has a dodgy back four, yet he has a plan and he is going to implicate it and he believes so we have to.

Saints travel to Leicester needing a bit of luck, so far it's been all bad, we need a break and it's hard to see where that is going to come from at Leicester City, but you just feel that Ralph is the man to do it.

He has instilled belief into his team and a work ethic and whereas before you felt that Saints would lose every game, you feel that now we will compete and compete well.

We do need some fresh blood and im sure that Hasenhuttl knows that, but his managerial style is all about instilling confidence and you feel that at Leicester we will have belief.

So what side will he play ? I expect Gunn to be in goal again, he has come in and been good, I expect it to be a back three with Bednarek, Stephens and Vestergaard, but from then on its going to be interesting to see what he does and who will be fit.

I would think that Romeu would play and I would hope that Lemina is fit enough to, but after that it's going to be mix and match for the Austrian with only Shane Long as a recognised striker fit.

But you just feel that this is a challenge that Ralph relishs, that heis all about getting the best out of players and this is one of those occasions.

Leicester are an enigma, brilliant one week and atrocious the next, we have to make this one of the next weeks.

Let's hope Leicester's enigma machine is set to atrocious this afternoon. I can't remember us even scoring at Leicester since we came back up. Another 0-0 draw would be a very good result.

I imagine that most /all of those at SMS who were involved in Puel's dismissal have left the club by now, (or are quietly at hiding under the desk in their office), but obviously it'll be an embarrassment if we lose to a manager we sacked because we thought him poor.
It'll be a good test for Ralph's system of play ..compared to " Puel's Leicester model" .

My Saints' history goes back 60 years but (as San Marco commented above), I can rarely remember us returning from Leicester with anything more than a cold.
A win against them is long overdue.

Quite! There are places we go that you just accept we'll come back empty handed, Leicester is one of those. Hope you had the flu jab.
