Massive result

The Norwich tactics to kick lumps out of us, then go for it, nearly worked.
How they got away with so much is beyond me. Kicks in the head, elbowing, arms round the neck, blatant pushing right in front of the ref. It was a fvckin joke.

Great goal but we really needed to push on, get a 2nd and put the game to bed. Unfortunately it was a lacklustre 2nd half with us giving the ball away so much, no wide outlets and not much creation.

To compensate this, we decided to try shutting up shop for the last 10 mins and injury time and just about held on thanks to some desperate defending and some top drawer saves from Peretz.

Matsuki was our worst player by far. Gave it away every time, couldn't pass, stupid flicks, so slow, never took his man on. Hero last Saturday, Zero tonight.

Bring on Oxford, who will also try to bully us I expect.

Despite the end result being the best of the season the game itself was far from a classic and got worse the longer it went on. Norwich played a very physical game, good job Scienza was not available.Saints showed great resolve not to rise to it. Ref and his assistants must have been wearing blinkers not to spot half of it.

Good goal from Azaz. Great double save from Peretz late in the game. Struggling to add much else.

Hopefully, the potential importance of the result was playing on everyone's mind holding them back a bit.

Phew! Tough game but ground out a result.
