A win is a win. Wasn't a great team performance but Fernandes showed his quality. Thought BBD had a pretty good game too. Defence still looks a bit disjointed. DD not impressing me at the moment- Jack Stephens scored a goal from a far harder angle on Saturday. How a striker can make such a mess right in front of goal amazes me. Flynn Downes needs a calmer head as well.

It was a bit more of a struggle than it should have been.We missed a couple of early chances and allowed them to gain a bit of confidence The half time talk must have woken them up because for 15/20 minutes after we dominated the game but failed to convert good chances
Of the 4 players who can play as a No 9 none appear to be firing on all cylinders yet but is that because of the service. Having failed, on Saurday,to convert the chance that captain Jack eventually put in DD again couldn't unravel his feet to score from 2 yards.
But it's a win and we are in the hat for round 2 Reading at home please
