Fantastic performance by all.
We must attempt to keep this squad together along with the Tonda whether it's prem or EFL.
A JOY TO WATCH
City's play , first half reminded me of us under Russell Martin. Bloody boring.

Great performance. As good as their winner was, the Azaz goal was goal of the match. The roar from (most) neutrals all over the Country must have been deafening. With Tuesday coming up, glad we didn't have to be beaten in extra time, with automatic promotion still an outside possibility.7

Great performance. Really went for it. I hope Wellington is ok.

Team as a whole played well. Sadly, the quality of their bench was the deciding factor.

Commentators seemed to want to paint us as a plucky small team out of their depth, unused to VAR etc hopefully we can get back to the PL next season and play Fulham, Arsenal and MC twice a year AS USUAL.

Cannot fault the effort or commitment of the players, nor Tonda’s game plan. First half we went toe to toe with City and despite not getting a shot away (aside from the correctly disallowed goal) we were arguably the better side. Second half we were forced back for large periods but were defensively outstanding, and when Azaz struck we dared to dream for a couple of minutes. The big difference was City being able to bring on the likes of Jeremy Doku who was their player of the match.

We have played the top two teams in the country this month. Well beaten one and given the other a bloody nose. This team and manager have proven they can mix it with the big boys.

I really though Azaz was going to join Long, Stokes and Tadic as the scorer in a epic backs to the wall 1-0. But this was man city and pep, not manure for pool. In the first half it was brilliant. We held them in a Tonda tactica; masterclass. The low block cut kept them at arms length with Wood and Welington both having massive performances and then we sprang wth tight 1 touch passing and flicks at it looked like we were destined to score. The key pass was the one to Leo and we so nearly sprang him on side, but the pass was behind, not for him to run on to. Fine margins.

2nd half Pep changed it. They smothered us when ever we won the ball preventing us releasing and for 35mins it was defence against attack, then we had our chance and Finn scored a goal worthy of winning it. I hit the roof, that was epic, but sadly it was topped by Gonzales. We tried to get back and larin was brilliant. The charge back by the team in the 90th min when Peterz was stranded in their half, showed what we are. We March on.

Fantastic effort from all on & off the pitch, & nearly another tactical masterclass from Tonda!

Pity the officials didn’t deem it fit to officiate the same way for / against both teams…..

Great performance. Defended well. Lost to the better team but proud of how we battled. Couldn't fault the effort.

Couldn't fault the game plan or the way it was executed.
We lost to a jammy deflected goal and a world class strike

Who chose the MotM?He did nothing other than score whereas Jander covered ever inch of the pitch twice

You have to feel slightly sorry for Shea Charles and Leo, who must have been strong contenders for Saints goal of the Season. Now struggling to think of a more worthy one than the one by Finn Azaz yesterday, on such an occasion, against such an opponent and with so many Saints players playing their part in the goal. Still can't stop smiling, when think about it. How much pleasure it gave to the Saints fans and how many glum faces it must have generated in the Man City end, for 2 minutes, at least!
