Thread | David Brookes showed just how good he can be.

I always liked David Brookes ever since his time at Sheffield.
He's been so unlucky with his health issues but he's battled back & showed last night just how good he can be.
Alright not the most physical & doesn't offer a lot defensively but he is very creative going forward.
He gives us something different, a player that is always looking to create something.
I just love the way he caresses the ball with the outside of his foot, I would love us to keep him promoted or not.

No thanks.
We've had too many players come to us just for the pension. (Good example being Mark Hughes).
Adam Lallana has had a great career but we don't need him now. |

I personally think that Che Adams will be involved tonight.
I don't see him a a deserter.
Not sure we'll need him for the final because beating WBA is not a done deal. |

Che might not end up at a bigger club than Broja but I'd bet on Che scoring more goals.
Broja is a one trick pony & teams easily sussed him out.
Plus Broja is delicate, picks up lots of minor injuries whereas Che is made of tougher stuff.
No I'm not saying Che is a great player & he does miss too many chances but I would have him before Broja anytime.
I know most of you on this forum would disagree with me but it's all about opinions. |

I thought McCarthy was excellent today, commanding his box & very positive apart from when he's expected to play out from the back.
He's old school goalkeeper, sticking to what you good at & that is keeping the ball out of the net.
We'd have lost that game today if Baz had been in goal. |

Not too sure we can rely on Ross Stewart to turn it on for us yet.
He hasn't played a full competitive match for nearly 18 months.
There's no way that he'll be up to full speed yet.
But a half speed Ross Stewart is better than a full speed Sakou Mara. |

Just what we didn't want.
Mara leading the line up front.
OK, Che Adams is not available but don't replace him with Mara.
He's more likely to get sent off than scoring.
I just hope he proves me wrong.
RM should have moved AA to Ctr Forward & brought in David Brookes on the right.
I'm nervous already & the game hasn't started yet. |

Personally I'd prefer to keep Flynn Downes.
I think his all round game is better & more creative than Prowsy's & that is not a criticism of Prowsy in any way, but I really rate Flynn Downes.
What are the chances of keeping him if we manage promotion.
We know he's a gonna if we miss out on promotion. |

Prowsy has been left on the bench again today as he was in previous match.
With the quality that the Hammers have he's now finding it difficult to get a start.
But at least he's had the opportunity to experience some European football, he wouldn't have got that with us. |

I think McCarthy has done OK since he has come in.
Considering he hadn't played a first team match this season he's adapted really well.
Our defence has benefited because he's not
as good as Baz with his feet so doesn't take so many risks.
Much less Tippy Tappy in & around our own box. Just hope he keeps it up for Play Off's. |

I think it was when Bertrand left so it would have been when RH was in charge.

RM is a Genius.(with a smart new hair style)
Playing JS in 2 positions at left back & midfield. Looked a worldy.
RM left midfield & he looked OK there.
Bringing on Sulemane at Ctr Forward. ( he's mastered the art of falling over).
What other manager would have thought of that system.
Just a shame he left it to the very last game of the season to find a system that works.
FD was immense today.
In fact just for once I cannot think of anyone that didn't put in a shift.
No passengers today (until Sulemane came on). |

We all give Che Adams a lot of stick but his goalscoring record this season is much better than Adam Armstrongs.
If you judge by number of goals per number of minutes played then Che's record is much better than AA's.
And that's not taking into consideration that AA has penalties included in his total.
But, they've both missed too many to count.
It doesn't matter how many they score between them if we keep conceding more than we score.
Our goals conceded is shocking & if it hadn't been for AA & CA contribution we wouldn't have made the play offs.
Well never know how many Ross Stewart would have scored. |

Perhaps not able to play Rustyball, but his record would suggest that he can keep the ball out of the net.
I might be wrong but I thought was a priority for a Goalkeeper.

I think he's kept about 20 clean sheets, sounds a step up on what we've got.
Why did we buy him & then loan him straight out ?. |
