Anyone watching the cricket today ? 08:45 - Feb 24 with 2756 views | Butty101 | Good toss to win, I’m hopeful of an England win. As for the 100 rubbish, what’s the point

The top order is dreadful. Like rabbits caught in headlights.

Yes, India's top order have been poor, especially considering the pitches have been especially prepared to favour their team and negate the English pace attack, even to the extent of the groundsmen loosening the soil where their feet would land in one of the tests. They've got VERY 'lucky' with the umpires' calls, which have saved them throughout the series. The number of lbw decisions, which were umpires' calls that the Indian umpires have originally called out for the Indian bowlers but not out for the English ones have been the main deciding factor in this test series. If the percentages of those umpires' call decisions were reversed, this would have been a comfortable series win for England. That one which Bess just had originally called not out, which was hitting the top of middle stump was the latest in a whole series of them where the umpires have given the 'benefit of the doubt' to India. For an Indian bowler the Indian umpire would have called that out. [Post edited 5 Mar 2021 9:09]

Couldn’t agree more, when England bat its like India are bowling at 5 stumps and so just need to Nick the stump. Bairdtows for example in the first inning. England are effectively bowling at two stumps as they don’t get the umpires call

Anyone watching the cricket today ? on 15:22 - Mar 5 with 419 views | Kennington | While India have got more decisions, it’s like us moaning about saints and VAR and still being hammered. India will thrash us anyway. Pant aside, they actually seem to be nowhere near their best and are treating us like they would a second rate test nation like Bangladesh or Zimbabwe and are going through the motions to win with ease. I feel sorry for channel 4, who are doing their best covering this mauling. England batsman can’t have any real complaints as how many inside edges or straight ones have they been out to? Being out to a spinner bowling a straight one is simply awful rabbit in the headlights batting. It says, the batsman isn’t watching the ball at all and is just guessing. No problem with a batsman being done over by an outside edge as it is likely to be a decent ball. But so many dismissals have been embarrassing on a pretty docile track.
