I might speak to him Rich though someone in the NHS will be better placed. It may just be a massive oversight by senior management but as the days go by it looks awful and my wife is getting stressed to the point she is getting ill.

I don’t have any formal HR qualifications, but Ive previously spent time in a HR Managers role and I’ve also got some experience of working/representing a staff association. I can’t promise I’ll know the answers, but am happy to try and help.

I hate that .
I was under severe pressure several times in Police and I wasn’t best company then.
Maybe she needs to pack it in and walk off into the Mumbles sunset with you ,hand in hand.

My wife was an NHS HR officer but changed to a less stressful job 11 years back, clerical officer now, otherwise I'd be asking her but she's well out of touch with rule changes.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Write everything down, keep all electronic information, try and show you tried to address the issue, and keep the doctor informed if your well being is affected. It’s all evidence.

My wife was under pressure during the covid waves on the wards. She told the senior nurse to F off and was threatened with discipline. I told her to go on the sick for a while and make as much fuss as possible about the conditions etc.

The best way is to muddy the waters and make as much fuss as possible, and suggest implicating others if the disciplinary goes ahead.Managers do not like a fuss, they want it done and dusted as quickly and smoothly as possible. It has to be done before the formal hearing though. It works every time, certainly did for me while i was working. and she heard nothing further about it.

If it goes to a tribunal muddying the waters is not the best advice. Stay transparent, keep your integrity and remain open to conciliation.

Just for clarity. This is not a disciplinary. My wife's behaviour has been exemplary in her entire career. This is more to do with a management stitch up and options.

It is worth giving ACAS a ring. It's nothing formal and no need to give names etc. They don't give advice but if possible give what the employment standing is. They might not give the info you need but at worse a wasted phone call. If you do decide it's worth making notes before hand so you don't forget anything.

I was assuming it was a internal disciplinary, but apparently it's not

Nothing apparently about it. Thanks for the advice though as this can apply to anyone who is having disciplinary or similar issues.
I wish I could elaborate further as I believe that the viewers would be more than surprised.

Have a look at this

There is an example of continuous contracts and permanent status on four years.

I was but if you can guarantee anything in life it’s change. I won’t be any worse of financially, I won’t be having to air bnb away from home every week and no ridiculous overarching “oversight” trying to micromanage everything.
