Masterson was 'a young premier league footballer' about three years ago.
I thought he looked like he had potential when he first played in the team but he started to make errors and his confidence waned. He needed games in men's football to gain experience and add more physicality to his game.
Sanderson, we all agreed, looked very good in his loan with Birmingham but he was showing his lack of experience, in trying to do too much at times and making poor choices at others, whilst trying to settle in a side whose form was nose diving. Then there was that stupid, petulant, sending off. He is still, however, a young boy learning his trade.
It will be interesting to see what happens under a new manager. He (Masterson) currently has Dickie, Dunne, De Wijs and Barbet (if he stays) ahead of him for starts. |  |
