First Sherringham, now Shearer 11:50 - Aug 29 with 553 viewssaint901

Last week in the Times, Sherringham blamed the officials for yellow/red cards for time wasting and dissent and claimed that it was ruining the game.

He expanded this to mean that it was "ruined" for players, managers and no doubt the PL. He didn't mention the fans or the watching millions of course.

Now Shearer is at it on MoTD. Blaming the "new rules" for "putting pressure on referees". He clearly can;t see that the players - given a briefing as to what is and is not acceptable - continue to infringe and therefore get carded.

I think the guy from Brentford who got carded for time wasting was a little unlucky - I would have booked the keeper - but otherwise, let them learn or let them watch from the stand.

Pundolts always feel they have to be noisy and controversial to justify their inflated salaries and get noticed. It is all just "piss & wind"

And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's off with her head
