This aged well! Bragg played well and got the decisive goal. And my youth tip Williams got on as well.

You beat me to that post.

Bragg is young, enthusiastic and talented. He also offers role flexibility in midfield.

And the key thing...Eckert clearly rates the kid and will smooth his rough edges.

Right this minute, if Eckert says it's so, I'm all in.

So what's to do with Jander?

Tonda said he had a muscle injury and unfortunately didn't sound too hopeful about a quick return. Nothing said about Larin.

Fair play Saint22. I think we should have no fear with Tonda at the helm. Larin out, Downes out, Jander out, Tonda gets the best out of all the replacements. They come in and play a blinder. Tonda must take a lot.of credit for winning games come what may. Bragg is one of our own, a great lad and so much potential to be a brilliant player.

Fully agree Tonda seems to be really working miracles
Let’s not forget they beat Swansea 5 nil last week!
We should have won by more but the team are playing for one another for the first time in a long time!

You've had a shocker on this thread mush!

"For the first time in a long time"

Really? Have you forgotten about the run from February last season and the results since the international break?

Fail we may, sail we must

"Bragg is really not up to this kind of game"

The BBC report reflects what we all saw:

Bragg caught the eye with an impressive performance for Saints in the middle of the park alongside the experienced James Ward-Prowse.

His seven recoveries and four tackles were a major contributing factor to Saints stifling the Hoops' attack as they dominated their opponents and prevented them from getting up the pitch.

Bragg ran the show on the ball too, accurate with 95% of his passes and finding Southampton's forwards often as he moved the ball quickly, taking limited touches to keep their attacks flowing.

The academy graduate really took his chance as he played his first 90 minutes for Saints since being sent off against Portsmouth in October.

He was given a standing ovation by the home fans after being substituted in injury time, his name ringing around the stadium as he was clapped off.
