Nicely avoided a potential banana skin. I don’t usually like it when clubs send out weakened sides but in this case it was good to see the squad players given match time. We know Ely can do it against weaker opposition as he showed at Celtic and it will be interesting to see if he can now make it in the EPL. Broja already looks better than our young strikers. We need to nick Chelsea’s scouts. Tella disguised his finish well. All in all a good evening’s effort against poor opposition.

What a strange performance from Newport. Where was the Welsh fire we were told to expect from these famous giant killers.

Even their pre match routines in front of us only looked half hearted. Shooting into an empty net and MISSING the goal.

No wonder they didn't get a single shot on target during the game.
