It's great to see how well the new young players have slotted into the framework provided by the older players. The new intake and the more established seem to be playing off each other and taking their work ethic from each other.
Consequently far from being 5 games in, bottom of the league with no points and double digit goals against (as predicted in many places at the end of last season), we are - for the moment - more than comfortable.
We should however be cautious. Young players are inconsistent and there will be days when everything they try will fail and that will put pressure on others. On those days we need to remember the fact that players do not go from good to bad in one match.
For now though, I'm enjoying the ride and I'm pretty sure that teams seeing how we played against MU and Chelsea will be re-assessing their fixtures against us.
