To be fair to Che, although he would have been very unlikely to score, he's probably the best of the worst bunch of strikers we've ever had in the top flight. An opposition defender is more likely to score a goal for us than any of them. [Post edited 2 Apr 2023 17:20]

OK is being slightly generous. He's perhaps comparable with Gordon Watson: a one goal every 5 games sort of striker. But as the others score less than 1 goal in 10 games or none at all, in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king. | |

Our starting strikers today have scored 11 league goals between them in the last 2.75 seasons. Onuachu has 70 goals in the same period and is left on the bench
Football is basically a simple concept- score more goals than your opponents. Apart from Ings briefly Onuachu is the only out and out goal scorer we’ve had in nearly 5 seasons and he can’t get a game

He could be the new Deniz Undav. Undav was the runaway top goalscorer in the Belgian Pro League last season with 25 goals (6 more than Onuachu). In 12 Premier League games, he hasn't scored any. In 7 Premier League games, Onuachu hasn't scored any either.
It's hard to say which has a higher standard, the Belgian League or the Championship.
