When Dibling was fouled the ref waved play on thinking there was an advantage I'd like him to explain how you can have a clear advantage 10 yards inside your own half with 4/5 opposition players within 10 yards of you. Theat error just compounded the inconsistent decisions which looked an awful lot like a Villa bias

For once I can claim that we were the better team
Downes,Onuachu,Kamaldeen and Manning all had their best game of this season and it was good to see
I would rather have played ABK than Stevens but other than that he selected the starting11 well Stevens did make a couple of last ditch tackles,which is the one thing he is good at,but he was at least 50% at fault with their goal THB messed up his clearance but when the cross came in JS was a yard behind his man and gave him a free header
Overall we were the better team and I came away gutted that we hadn't won |

The starting 11 was much what I expected and apart from Gronbaek for Sugawara is what I would have chosen Why play a FB as a m/f when you have a natural m/field player on the bench
When they scored where were our centre backs?Were we zonal marking or man to man marking?

To see Frnandez subbed off at half time for tall Paul was unbelievable. But he beat that when he brought on Archer At that stage we had a back 4,2 holding players,two wide players and 2 centre forwards Not an attacking m/f player in sight Just when you thought it couldn't get worse and we were chasing a draw he brings on Jack Stevens Why?

First 20 minutes looked promising They kept possession ala RM but played forward quicker
Again we collapsed after the first goal
ABK Did a Stella job in the first half considering he was trying to play as a one man back line When joined by THB it looked like the best CB pairing we have had all season
Presumably he will add capt Jack or Jan B and keep playing a back 3 Again individual mistakes cost us The Downes one when he wasn't under any pressure How do you prevent that sort of thing
Hopefully he will stop playing full/ wing backs as CB's and realise that Tall Paul is a waste of time as is Archer Play a youngster You never know we may have another Shearer in the club |

That was the worst performance I have seen from a Saints team ever.
Poor selection,no game plan and a bunch of players who ALL looked like they would rather be somewhere else
If we hadn't had Nathan Jones then Juric would be the worst coach we have ever had .How can you start a game with one recognised CB and have two CB's on the bench?
The players are short on confidence but isn't it his job to get them believing again ?Not one player looked like he knew the game plan Dibling walked around like he was out for a Sunday afternoon stroll and big Les looked like he was trying to get a second yellow and a suspension
Is there anyone who still believes that football under Juric is better than it was under Martin At least we had a game plan and didn't just play hoof ball |

In the starting 11 why no Dibling,why no big Les In the 2nd half why no Wellington?

I didn't intend to post that
Our m/f was totally uncreative Poor Martinez worked his socks off but go no support at all Sulemana and Dibling very seldom got the ball without 2/3 Burnley players being within a couple of yards I only saw one clear cut chance (hit over by Manning) other than that no plan B or C
Juric in his post match interview on Solent thought we played very well,created loads of chances and were unlucky to lose
Sorry Ivan you are to coaching what I am to ballet dancing
Anyone who believes that we are playing better under him needs to have a word with themselves At least under RM you could see what they were trying to do even when it wasn't working
If Solac is true to his word and he keeps him next season will be a hard watch

Burnley came to spoil everything we tried in any way possible Because they were so well organised they were able to do exactly that They played in an organised way and executed their game plan
We played with a 5>2>1>2 formation I think It was so shambolic at times that you couldn't see what plan we had
Bednarek and Manning went forward at one time and when they won the ball back and countered we had a back 3 of Bree KWP and Wellington |

For the first 60 minutes there was no organisation at the back No engine in the m/f and the attack was blunt All down to the selection
We only got on terms when they made their substitutions, which did for them, what ours did for us at Old Trafford
Where do we go from here?
We could sell everyone we can get a fee for and start from scratch or keep most of them and trust that they can get us promoted next season We would then need to do a Forrest and buy a bus full of players hoping that they could collectively keep us up
I don't think the Godfather is even close to being the answer. Let's be honest his only idea is that we should kick them more ie cheat |
