Morgan Fox: Stick or twist?

He single handedly lost us the home game against Portsmouth a result which I feel had a massive negative impact on the team at that point. Never warmed to him. Not oven close to being bang average. Get rid.

Players that left the club and it hurt as a fan

Stan. Absolutely devastated. Think he played his last game against Wrexham in a 2-2 draw in. Early December 1979. Kept him and with the likes of TC, Allen, Goddard, Roeder, Hazell, Gillard, McCreery and Woods we would have got promoted right back.

On this day in 1976...
at 13:46 17 Apr 2025

Five of us went up there including my Mum who only ever went to special matches. Lovely spring day, loads of QPR cars with scarves hanging out the windows on the A11. Six days before my tenth birthday. Was absolutely gutted afterwards. Very quiet drive back. Must have been 15,000 Rangers supporters in Carrow Road that day. I’m not one to hold a grudge but from that day onwards I have hated Norwich and everything to do with them and the colour yellow since. Even that shît song by that shît group Coldplay. That was our one and only chance to be champions and I also believe that we would have had more chance winning the European Cup that than the UEFA Cup the following season.

Been there a few times including the ‘Trevor Kettle’ draw which gratefully brings out Clive’s report on that game each time and is worth another read! Best thing about Preston is the pub on the station platform. Other than that……..

Championship agent fees

Ask the PL. and to value the women’s team at £192million is incredible. They own no infrastructure whatsoever, unless they bought the old Kingstonian ground from AFC Wimbledon, but that isn’t worth that kind of wedge. Added to this was the sale of two hotels on the Bridge site. All sold to another company within the North Battersea Holdings Group. I just hope that the financial fiddling under the war criminal doesn’t go unpunished and a sumptuous points deduction for the start of next season totally screws them over for another year. Their support are very unhappy with Mascaras style of play, sounds very much like the Leicester support last season, and it seems there is plenty of player discontentment with the lack of playing time. Qualification for the CL is starting to look iffy and it’s lovely to see their £88million Ukrainian unable to play with a drugs charge hanging over his head. Finally Tom Bola has talked about relocating the club as he has sussed that he cannot redevelop the ground to compete with other 60,000 grounds. He obviously hasn’t met with the C****** Pitch Owners yet! All starting to bubble up nicely for Tom Bola and his mates.

Great little player and has scored two very good goals, one of great skill and the other of great composure. But the two things that really stand out was one winning a towering header which led to a goal and the second and after match interview with Paul Smyth which was pure comedy gold. Hope we have the option to sign him and take that option up.

Chelsea owner Tod Boehly

Heard about this on Talksport a couple of months ago. Non season ticket holders, which included members continually struggle to get tickets for home matches despite being online when they are released as it seems that there are ‘touts’ using systems that buy up huge amounts of tickets immediately which are then sold to such sites as Vividseats. I suspect that none of this is happening and that the tickets are withheld and placed on Vividseats for sale to overseas supporters as to be frank clubs like North Battersea benefit much more hugely from such supporters as they are more likely to spend £500 in the club shop then your average neandrathal. Tom Bola or whatever his name is is a typical yank businessman, just in it for the cash. Let’s hope that the PL don’t bottle the current investigation about illegal payments made by the Russian war criminal and deduct a shedload of points and give a huge fine.

Meant to say that Glenn Matlock had a QPR flag draped over his amp, in pink.

Well three of them at least, Glenn Matlock, Paul Cook and Steve Jones, plus their mate Frank Carter at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust were absolutely fantastic. A great night and a worthy night. Didn’t get a chance to see them at the Bush Hall last summer as was on holiday, but glad I managed to get to see them live.

Mike, pass on my best wishes to Dave for me, unless of course the great man is reading this forum. I would suggest that if someone could get to the C&S with a bundle of copies for the Cardiff game then they would all be shifted in double quick time.

It’s about a mile walk from the ground but you cannot beat the Vine for decent grub and good priced beer.

Neil Warnock on Sky as a pundit for Leeds/ Sunderland
at 12:31 18 Feb 2025

I met Warnock at a charity game at HQ post season. He was so pleased to be part of the day and was due to do-commentate on the National League play off final. Didn’t want to leave as he really was enjoying himself with the supporters who turned up to play. Was so interested in our experiences and stories of supporting the team. A real football lover and a really charming person. At that game I asked him about the prospect of getting Taarabt back for the next season, he looked at me and just said. He’ll be back. The rest is history.

He was screwed by Ecclestone post promotion not allowing players that he wanted such as Ashley Williams, Routledge and the Swansea forward who allegedly bought a house in Harlington. He had a list of players that in my view, complemented by the championship winning team that would have seen us comfortable in the Prem in the first season. Instead it was a last minute trolley dash that saw us buy some players either at inflated prices on inflated wages.

Play Offs? Dream on
at 11:56 16 Feb 2025

It is very unlikely that we will achieve sixth place and it makes me wonder if we had a mediocre start to the season instead of a disastrous one where we would be now. Looked at last season after 33 games and we were third bottom on 32 points after beating Bristol City away. So for me having a 12 point improvement is this seasons story so far. Happy with that.
