so how many points do we need and how do we get them?
at 09:52 13 Apr 2025

71 points will be more than enough I think.

We could be home and hosed by 5pm Monday if we have the perfect Easter.

Should be looking to win every game now and secure that home eliminator tie… Alty will be viewing Friday as a must win… get toe to toe with them and more of the same from yesterday!!

Well done to Jim and the Team a perfect response at the perfect time.

Front foot attack minded Dale could have had 5 / 6 goals yesterday.

Onwards now to a huge Easter weekend and a chance to get that first away league win in 2025.

Up the Dale.

The miss by Mitchell first half when 1v1 with the keeper is horrendous.

Keeper on the floor committed and Kairo just rolls the ball into his legs… along the floor no attempt to lift the ball over him.

Under zero defensive pressure it’s moments like this that frustrate fans…

With only 3 home games left it would be a real disappointment to not have 2200 home fans on Saturday.

Especially if we can win tonight at Sutton!.

3 points would be great and the players will want to show there is plenty left to enjoy this season.

Betfair cant split the sides.

Sutton 7/5

Dale 7/5.

It is no easier to take on Sunday morning for me also..

firstly 442 is one of us and isn't the enemy, I agree with chunks of what he is trying to say..

The day started badly with the turnstile fiasco.. see the separate thread. The experiment of the drum and the singing section imploded they have to be back in the Sandy lane ASAP as Yoof who cannot behave are either aligned with or drawn towards this section of support. the full time scenes just unacceptable and disgraceful. Lifetime banning orders have to be issued to send the correct message.

First half was a non event Dale not landing a blow and lucky not to be 0-1 down at half time.

Improved second half but poor decision making by the team and an inability to see out a game raising its head for the umpteenth time this season. Two really poor goals to concede and why the keeper is not punching that cross clear 90+4 is a mystery.

The header blazed over at 2-1 was as poor as the missed penalty. The stuttering 2 yard run up to make it 5-5 never filling me with any confidence.

Can the players recover from that as there is one more shot left of glory this season? sadly not if the tactics and body language carry on from yesterday.

This can work one of two ways, maybe we will see a reaction from the players on Tuesday but more importantly at home in front of 2000 on Saturday v Eastleigh.

What a missed opportunity by the club off the pitch and the players on it.

It really was a shambles..

The club are miles off sadly (Project 5000).

Yesterday aside from abject football was a disaster. Every turnstile needs to be open ideally by 1.30 with fully briefed staff on hand with a simple mission of helping fans, new, lapsed and existing get into the stadium quickly and safely with the minimum of fuss.

Yesterday was badly organised and not thought through at all for one stand holding a shade over 1500 people. Goodness knows where we go from here.

11am - 4 hours to kick off.

I bet Rochdale Cricket Club is bouncing at Midday!!

Shame we cant create a fan zone under a temporary structure at Spotland.

Looking forward to the game..

Gordon Interview on the Website is a good one.. The players are looking forward to it and are ready to play... fully focused on the game tomorrow.

Good acknowledgement that Spennymoor are worthy opponents getting to the Semi Final.

No away win in the league in 2025..

No better time than tonight to change that statistic.

Oldham look like the new bury.

Similar fan base in mentality living on past glory, they could try and demand some answers sooner rather than later.

Frank looks well intended but is he quickly getting out of his depth?.

We don't want another local club going bump you have to hope Frank has pockets as deep as is realistically possible.

The two worse days of my Dale supporting Life..

Attended both fully expecting to win and progress, Telford absolutely mullered Dale that day.

It is really good news that ticket sales have been strong and Spotland should look packed out.

Up the Dale..

A very small misunderstanding…

Not sure it was worthy of a pick up but there we are.

Fantastic performance yesterday and Dale move up a place into 6th.

It’s very congested though with 5 teams separated by only 3 points….. it’s a big game on Tuesday now hoping the high tempo style of play continues.

Rodney and Hendo up top as a 2 makes a huge difference… hoping Beckwith and Hogan can get out of the ice bath today and feel ok - fit and ready to go again..

No messing at the back.. the new keeper did really well but the masterclass of the day was Rodney and Hendo …. Both magnificent

Up the Dale!!

Excellent 4-0 win with a performance that shows we are contenders.

If we can pick up 3 points v Woking on Tuesday then our top 7 place is assured this time next week.

Just more of the same Dale!!!! Brilliant yesterday.

Usually a good sign James.

Just posted elsewhere that Aldershot unbeaten in the last 6 national league games.

They are also 4 wins in the last 5 games so in fine form.

Positive tactics tomorrow and high tempo / intensity please..

Would you take out of the cup & play offs if it meant McNulty being sacked?

Aldershot in fine form...

in the national league they are unbeaten in 6 and they have won 4 of the last 5 games.

Its a great chance to put down a marker tomorrow for both the play off place and the Trophy.

Should McNulty be sacked? Of course not.

Do i want him sacked.. No..

What I am hoping is that the lessons learned are stinging the manager and the players and a plan is being worked on for the remaining games.

Make no excuses.. these next 3 games are really huge in the context of this season and on what we can (or cant) achieve.

A Trophy final at Wembley AND a chance to take our place in the playoffs... I would be happy with that lets see where we are at after Spennymoor on the 5th April.
