He came across really well in that interview, he has a steely side to him which is now coming through in his performances and a quiet confidence that marks him out as a leader. He has been mainly excellent this season and long may it continue. Big credit to Stephen for changing his position and giving him the confidence to grow into it |

I liked Marti when he was here but today showed why he wasn’t as good as we thought, he just did better than the jokers who came before him. Obviously Leicester have got a terrible dressing room, you could see it on the pitch, but he had no plan B, made no changes at half time and continued to let his team pass the ball aimlessly across the back 4. He did a good job here but we have upgraded massively. |

The balance being right is spot on and that comes from good coaching. What’s even more impressive is that we won 4-1 but the full backs were the best players. We looked really good today and Stéphan continues to get us playing better and better, massive credit to him. |

Spot on with Peacock, he scored a few goals for us but just really annoyed me. This takes the thread into another direction, which is irrational dislike… This is akin to blasphemy, but Kevin Gallen when he played in midfield made my teeth itch (disclaimer: was a great striker and club legend!) |

First time I’ve stopped celebrating a goal to hurl abuse at him, when he scored against Wimbledon and cupped his ear at the away end Awful signing |

I reckon Alou Diarra does it as you don’t always see him in the dugout at home games… And regarding the rest of this thread, we are a long way from perfect but I’m generally enjoying this season a hell of a lot more than the last 3 or 4 |

Thought we played really well. Defended solidly, the whole back 4 were great apart from the odd miscontrol from Mbengue, but that’s being picky. We showed real character to go again after the equaliser, we immediately looked like scoring after dominating the whole of the second half and a late goal at the Loft end is always special. Very pleased for the whole squad and great to see Poku come on and show a bit, but MOM was Madsen. Wow. Every pass found its target and was played with perfect pace and onto the receivers correct foot. He battled, won headers and looked like a top central midfielder. Great performance |

It’s crazy that the gaffer has rotated non stop all season, sometimes killing momentum with too many changes and then today stuck with the same side. I guess it’s all part of the learning process of coaching in a new league, but he needs to learn quicker |

The Athletic are getting hammered in the comments section of the article for a PR piece. I can see both sides, most of us would lose the plot if our mothers were thrown to the floor but hitting someone over the head with a stone / rock isn’t a good look, neither is denying it for 4 years. I think Illy is a real Rangers stalwart and has been our best player over the last 5 years, but this article isn’t helpful for him or the club |

No doubt that he’s a really good player, have to remind myself of his age sometimes as he’s still young and discovering the Championship. But…I don’t understand why he plays so deep, he’s not a 10 he’s a 9, get in the box! Whether it’s the tactics or his game, it’s not where he should be playing and despite his great start with us, he’s been floating around in the wrong areas of the pitch for 2 months now. Discuss! |

What’s mental to me, is that we set up and try to play like a counter attacking team at home. Away it makes sense, but at home where teams defend deep and let us have the ball its madness. There doesn’t appear to be a plan B for when we have possession and are not on the break either. I’m not against the manager yet but we can’t play like this all season. Also, stop floating the ball into the box from 40 yards out, it doesn’t work! |

How’s there no comments on this?? One of the best Rangers teams ever and written just as I remember it as a kid who thought it would always be like this… Bardsley was unbelievable for us once he got over his initial jitters. Thanks Clive! Edit: also amazing that a smaller crowd used to watch that team than the standard home crowd watching dross nowadays. 11k in the prem! [Post edited 4 Nov 23:17]

It was class wasn’t it. The biggest thing for me was how in control we were, which is so Un-QPR like |

As I’m sure has been said elsewhere, him and Vale changed the game when they came on Best thing about the goal was that he started the move with some classy play in midfield, which shows how he is still improving |

I agree with everything you said, except dropping Morrison, he is unbelievably good It’s Mbengue who needs to force his way back in imo |
