I agree that we shouldn’t hire on the basis that we know them. Nostalgia can be a block to progress and new ideas. I do think we should be a club that gives young and experience free staff a go though. They should be cheaper and hungrier and everyone starts somewhere. We could be what União de Leiria was to Jose Mourinho for example. The problem is our owners want to sell us a big club, when in reality we have the fourth lowest attendance and third worst win rate of any league club this decade. It will take a huge culture change, but I would love to see is a football maternity unit not a football retirement home. |

Another example of the ‘shittification’ of social media which I think is particularly low is posting false news about celebrity deaths. I assume the link goes through to some bitcoin salesroom or something. Here’s an example on a Facebook group for people who like drawing in cities. [Post edited 15 Nov 15:59]

Yeah, jokes aside, you never really know if he’s just been a tit or is going through something do you? |

In light of our current position, I can’t bring myself to talk badly about Ainsworth’s time here. Same goes for Ferdinand actually. Good luck to him. We may meet next season. |

Twitter is obviously a sewer, but as long as media is driven by commercial and shareholder interests the risk will always be there that Bluesky and other media go the same way. These guys are just 21st Century mill owners. |

Are they that successful though? Most of them inherited wealth. [Post edited 12 Nov 22:57]

Another thing to consider, sacking Nourry will be a lot cheaper than sacking Cifuentes I’d imagine. |

Don’t disagree, but when we talk about ‘tolerance’ what do we mean? Tolerance suggests the situation is in our control |

Point made for me exactly. I’m not an expert, but I’m almost certain the Remembrance period isn’t for advocating for or against any of those things, least of all an increase in Defense spending. [Post edited 11 Nov 16:08]

I think we are developing an unhealthy relationship with this day and time of year, and the former usefulness and meaning of it is being buried. Best wishes to those thinking of friends and family at this time. |

I’m usually a supporter of fan action, but if this is just an effort to get ‘Fck Off Nourry’ written on a load of bedsheets then no thanks. If you want to campaign for real Democratic fan governance or maybe even some ownership, then count me in. Frankly I don’t think a lot of our fan base is mature enough for that, because lots of us still think the answer lies in some mystical benevolent billionaire that also knows how to run a football club turning up. ‘He guffawed and laughed at new ideas and concerns put to him as if ‘fans’ of any degree had no clue what they were talking about‘ I thought this too, especially as it included on of mine! |
