As others have said, the first goal flies into the top corner 1 out of a 100 times but you have to be ready to take those chances and he was. The best thing about the second goal is the confidence boost it will give him because he only got the chance because they were chasing the game into extra time and that's a luxury we/he won't get very often this season.
So if we are hanging on to a one goal lead, he's a great option to bring off the bench as he showed he can be calm under pressure in a 1 v 1 situation. If only we could find the bastard love child of Armstrong (get out of my way puny boy) and Celar (Come on keeper, keep coming)....ahhhh, we can dream.
Away to Watford, won seven out of eight home games, drawing the other. Bollox. I hope the good vibes hang over until Norwich and we give Celar some real encouragement. Need to come up with some new Celar songs...
This forum never ceases to amaze me. One minute we are talking about burgers and if QPR were a movie and then you read a post like that. Mr Honney called it earlier when he said there's always a post around Christmas that puts everything into perspective and this could be the one for this year.
There are real hero's walking amongst us but we never see them.
Just watched the replays of Celar's second goal. He had so much time to fcuk it up but stayed cool, considered his options, waited for the keeper to commit and like Messi, just chipped it over him like it was nothing. Lovely jubbly.
"My view is that this season was about revamping the squad so that it is younger, contracted well, with potential and no worse than last season but within a tight budget".
Hmm, sounds like someone who knows the finer workings of our club and is up to speed on some of the bad contracts we've agreed in the past.....(a few moments later)...
But that's exactly how the law works. You nod off for a second at the wheel and jolt yourself awake, no crime. You nod off for a few more seconds and plough into the barriers, reckless driving. You nod off for a few more seconds, plough through the barriers and onto a train track, causing an oncoming train to derail and causing the death of some of the passengers, you are charged with manslaughter. Same crime, different consequences different punishments.
Stoke have only had 1 defeat in the last 8 and that was away to joint leaders Sheff Utd. If the grand fromages are intent on pulling the trigger then they might as well wait until we lose at home to Oxford (who haven't won away all season). If things haven't picked up by then and we do lose, hard to argue against it but would still prefer to see Nourry pack his bags first.
With what we have to play with and Stoke's recent form, can't see past this finishing 1-2.
You're in the middle of brushing your teeth and your electric toothbrush suddenly stops working. For a split second you think "shit, how am I going to brush my teeth now?"
