This one is really weird
Last season we thought nailed on relegation with Ainsworth - even before season starts
This season it was positive vibes after our last 2 games last season, how many would have predicted the right mess we are in right now?

We are such a painful watch at home. We have been very poor at home for a few seasons, just wondering are we the worst home team in the entire league of 92?
Can we do something about it? I mean how can we break this curse that has afflicted us for years once and for all?
We tried a new coach and signed some players, even a prodigious man-child CEO but nothing’s working at the moment.
Get the best exorcist or a psychiatrist? |

Celar hasn’t score for 14 games. For Slovenia, 16 games without a goal
But his career stats up to now suggest he is a 3 in 1 striker, so for QPR and Slovenia it is an anomaly.
I will also suggest that the games for QPR and his national team were not all starting eleven but lots as a substitute and being substituted, so stats can give a skew picture
Let’s all hope for our sake he starts to score goals, and I think he will but we would’ve to give him time [Post edited 3 Nov 9:57]

Didn’t Marti, when he was questioned why Kolli wasn’t in the first team squad photo, mentioned that Kolli was asked but he couldn’t/ didn’t make it for the photo shoot. Can’t recall the reason why but the club did invite him.
Did anyone recall this or was it my imagination? |

It must be the third keeper syndrome that drew the luck for the clean sheet at Burnley surely
No one is going to fully admit superstition publicly isn’t it?

Maybe Marti didn't want to talk (now)?
How certain are we that Marti is not allowed to engage the press etc?
Imagine what he would be asked:
- why team cannot play 2 halves
- your selection is wrong that you have to change it half time
- why is that player 6 or 8, why not this player plays 10 etc
- why didn't you put the strongest side against Palace
- a pathetic draw against Millwall, i told you so (see above)
- why didn't we go all in in the cup
- what is with the playing out from the back
- why are we so boring
- what's plan B?
- you got a full pre-season, and we don't know our starting 11?
- when is chair returning? what happened to Kolli - why not send him out for loan
- ydah ydah blah blah blah.............

Last season EFL Cup we lost to Norwich 1-0 with injury time goal in the first round
I don't think there was as much clamour as it is now to demand the coach play his best 11 and go all in.
Archer, Gubbins, Duke-McKenna, larkerche, Richards and Dixon Bonner were in the starting 11. Aoraha and Kolli came on as subs. We lost and the reaction was like "meh", back to the league to fight relegation where some already felt we were heading to L1.
Question - were you "utterly sick" we lost last year to a championship team and that Ainsworth didn't put the strongest starting 11?
What I take from this is - this season many (or some) of us surely must be feeling confident we have a better, stronger team than last year's and beginning to take "bonus" games seriously and demand the club do the same.

Did we set up to try?
The more worrying thing for me is how the hell were we mucking around in the first half? And then we improved in the second half? It’s a 90 minute game and we throwing a half away to then try to catch up after conceding a goal or two?
Doesn’t matter if we were playing a full team or second stringers which is baffling as much as it is infuriating and frustrating |
