But then when i played football in Swansea years ago none of the players spoke welsh.
When my son played about 30% were fluent due to welsh medium education.
Same area of Swansea.
So a lot more younger welsh speakers in Swansea than the immediately previous generations.
You will find many migrants into wales take the time to learn the language, its great to see.
Had Ukrainian learners on TV some months ago.
The welsh govt 1 million speaker target is going to help a lot, very ambitious but its looking very healthy.

No - i am for 80 year olds voting, but also for 16 year olds voting.
I was simply making a valid comparison for others who have a downer on young people for some reason.
When voting moves onto phones - like banking - then the young will vote in numbers.
Try sticking voting on mobile phones only - and see how the 80 year olds get on. |

So …… you are arguing that an 80 year old in a care home with perhaps less understanding of the modern world, and certainly less personal stake in the future should get a vote, but a 16 year old with a more informed understanding of the modern world and certainly more stake in the future should not get a vote ?

And to be consistent, are you also opposed to 16 year olds joining the Army ?
