I've been saying this a while now, I feel we are following a pretty similar path as before
Graham Potter is our Roberto Martinez with the attractive attacking football but dodgy defence.
Steve Cooper is our Paulo Sousa who then come in and strengthend the defence but with boring style of football.
Let's hope we do actually have the bo*locks to sack or somebody comes in for Cooper in the summer and we find our Brendan Rogers to come in for the start of next season and find the balance between the 2 previous managers adding a goalscorer from midfield (sinclair) and goalscorer upfront (borini) which will lead us back to the prem. Which is why Naughton is a better right back in a flat back 4 than roberts and in my team. And bidwell over manning because bidwell is more defensive than manning. |

Wow you are deluded, we play Worse football than them up the road and we just lost to them, the whole idea of this Cooper philiosphy and sticking to his footballing identity is laughable, just look at the stats, coopers football is hoofball and we have got someone like 'them up the road' ! We CAN NOT keep sticking to 5 at the back, it has been found out for months and so predicable, even Lee bowyer can see straight through it, it has got to be changed up how can people still not see this is the problem!! Also people wonder why we are so toothless going forward, not to mention the fact that the full backs are playing sh*t now anyway |

If he doesn't change the formation still after Birmingham he is deluded, been calling for it for months.
Flat back 4 with bidwell and Naughton to keep us defensively solid with no protection infront of them on the wings, Grimes fulton and Smith in there protection roles infront of the defence, but hourihane then given the freedom in midfield to give ayew and Whittaker some service rather than ayew and Lowe getting none off the flat defensive midfield 3. Honestly if he doesn't change it tomorrow I'm done with cooper.

As my post in the 'team for cardiff' thread, the thing that needs to happen is a change back from the 5-3-2 formation, it has been found out and isn't working anymore, especially against sides like Cardiff that are all about just bullying down the middle. I can not believe we didn't go with 4-3-3 yesterday and get at them down the sides which has worked against them so many times over the years. This has got to happen in the next few games and is the only option around the lack of goals problem and poor performances. Just please Cooper open your eyes

Roberts is out on his feet and if you are playing a back four the full backs are better off tucking in hence bidwell and Naughton over Roberts and manning who'd leave the back 4 exposed.

Surely? 1 thing for sure is that if cooper changes anything bar maybe Roberts for Bidwell or the front 3 then he will show how clueless he is. He has 100% got to stick to that centre back partnership and that midfield 3, taken him long enough as it is to finally do what many have been calling for for ages. Everybody else could see for the dying need for Fulton alongside Grimes and I knew that Gallagher was best at 10 before he even signed so why it took a manager who supposedly should have known about him 3 games to work that out is beyond me. And as for the centre back partnership hopefully he's finally realised guehi and wilmott are to be avoided. To me now the only thing up for debate is the front 3 and 2 of bidwell/Naughton/roberts but feel he should stick with Bidwell and Naughton for now to try and finally get a settled back 4.
