 | Your Report | Norwich City v Southampton Your Report added at 09:14:53 My thoughts entirely AleHouse. Play three centre backs if they deal well with balls in to the box, but ours don’t and by having three there they zonal mark rather than pick up individuals and responsibility is easily passed over! I feel that Norwich’s first goal yesterday may not have happened if Wood had felt the sole responsibility of not letting the forward get to the near post?! And of course you lose a player in midfield when playing with wingbacks and 3 centre backs. Plus of course our play becomes predictable, particularly in the second half when players tire and replacements aren’t as good! |
 | Your Report | Southampton v Leicester City Your Report added at 07:36:30 I’m done now with talking of the player’s lack of professionalism before Tonda took over and I’m going to talk about the Tonda effect instead ! The guy has surely got to be given the job now. Listening to THB and the magician that is Leo after the game it is clear that the players love Tonda and are buying in to all that he has to say. Love the talk about detail, how they worked hard on set plays before Leicester. Long may it continue because they are a joy to watch right now! |

 | Your Report | Charlton Athletic v Southampton Your Report added at 19:04:57 Whilst not taking anything away from what was a fantastic performance and result I am extremely disappointed that our players can play like that, but seemingly dropped tools under Still. I said that Still has lost the dressing room and what had happened since his departure supports this view, but the players are supposed to be professionals and that involves trying your hardest everything you pull on the Southampton shirt! Clearly they weren’t doing so and for that they should be ashamed of themselves! |

 | Your Report | Arsenal v Southampton Your Report added at 08:06:22 Think we saw in Arsenal’s first goal why we’re struggling in this league! Downes under little pressure and with a ball over their right back on decides on tippy tappy with an attempted pass to our left back which is cut out. 3 seconds later the ball is in our net. Whilst I like Downes because he’s been coached to death in keep ball he doesn’t attempt the more adventurous pass which has less risk attached from a defensive perspective. It must be very difficult for a player who has had keep ball drilled into them to allow their creative side to come to the fore?! |
 | Your Report | Birmingham City v Southampton Your Report added at 10:30:27 Birmingham’s first goal down to Bednarek (ball watching) and Adam Armstrong (didn’t track back), but don’t know what Manning was doing so far up the pitch in the 2nd minute?! He struggled to get back! The shot wasn’t going in until Manning deflected it! Birmingham’s second goal down to Bednarek and Manning, they didn’t communicate!” Both their first two goals down our left!! Last goal again down our left hand side again, Manning turned inside out, but Jack Stephens was more interested in wrestling his player rather than challenging to get the ball. That said, some of our play was great to watch, COYS |
 | Your Report | Sunderland v Southampton Your Report added at 17:39:57 Most disappointing aspect for me was the mediocre fight in the second half. Felt like a few Premier League egos still around. We had 25 minutes in the first half where we completed dominated, but shooting was awful. We score during that period and its then a different game. But after their third we completely lost all fight. Holgate was awful, KWP for all his dribbling ability isn’t a good defender. Where was he got their 1st goal? Consider Dozy and Mare luxuries, play only one of them at a time. Agreed with Harrapuk on the possession football, they cut out our killer pass and off they go. Sunderland found it so easy to get at our back line!!! |
 | Your Report | Brentford v Southampton Your Report added at 20:21:34 Nathan Jones’ post match interview was bizarre. Has he learned nothing from his failed time at Stoke? There it was rumoured that he couldn’t command respect from a load of prima Donnas and it appears from what he said in the interview that he’s fallen into the same trap! Suggesting that he is pandering to a certain way of football rather than stamping his brand on things seems to me like total bullshit from someone who is out of their depth in the PL. We’re down with him in charge! |
 | Your Report | AFC Bournemouth v Southampton Your Report added at 08:19:01 Great result! No game in the PL is easy, league getting stronger each year. Trouble as i see it is when we park the bus we’ve got no where to go if the opposition does equalise. Bournemouth didn’t last night, but it could have been quite a different story! We did look solid at the back though! Che awesome, good performances from Salisu, Perraud, Caleta-Car, Bazunu. |
 | Your Report | Tottenham Hotspur v Southampton Your Report added at 08:33:30 Says a lot about where we are as a club when we’ve got supporters predicting 5-0/6-0 before the game starts! Back 5, two defensive minded midfielders and we still concede 4. Going to be a long season!! |
