This is my fear. I am in a similar situation to yourself with my mother electricblue. She rang me yesterday to say she was on her last toilet roll and could I get her some as she couldn't find any in the shops she uses. ( She lives in Heywood and gets a taxi to Morrisons as she can't walk more much and is nearly 80) I went to find her some and gave up and just gave her some of mine for now. Due to totally selfish greedy people, people like my mum who shops on a need to buy basis can't get simple everyday products to live. Some people need to be ashamed of themselves panic buying all the products just to gather dust in their garages of sheds etc... They will be ok, but the elderly and people on low incomes ( who can only afford weekly shops and can't afford to bulk buy) are left to wipe their backsides on whatever they can find or the frightening thing may start to go without food. On another note why buy all the toilet roll, my understanding was that diahorra is not an effect of the virus. Anyway selfish greedy people, if this applies to you hang your head. The football being played under BBM is rubbish, it's boring, it's negative and it's frustrating. We have in all areas of the squad decent and capable players of playing good football to win football matches. The problem is the tactics, I am not a football purist, I go to football for entertainment, to have an enjoyable afternoon and if possible come away happy that we have won. If we don't win but but have put in the effort then that's football, we don't have a divine right to win, but abit of effort and entertainment is what I go for. The club can't expect the supporters to turn up every week to see a product that we are seeing at the moment, people are getting turned off by the negatively. I haven't seen yesterday's stats, but how many shots did we have,(not many ) but I bet we had most precession again. At one point yesterday we won a free kick in front of BBM right on the half way line. equal distance to both goal lines, Luke took the kick. Did we A, put some of our players into the Coventry box and pump the ball in on the hope of creating a scoring chance? Or B, Pass the ball back to our own goalkeeper so we could then retreat on to our own 18 yard line and play it out to one of our defenders to keep precession? Always B, to BBM precession is king and as our recent drubbing by Peterborough confirms precession doesn't win games, creating and converting chances into goals does! When Steve Taylor won the golden boot many moons ago the players we had then where nowhere near the quality we have now, but we created chances in the 18 box and he converted them. With the tactics we play now he would be lucky to have got into double figures in this team, which makes Henderson's goal tally all the more remarkable. Will I renew my season ticket next year? Playing like this no chance, I might not even see the season out, it's that boring. Before certain supporters then turn and say good riddance have a think about the supporters who like me attend for entertainment and the love of their home team Rochdale AFC, without supporters the club is nothing, what is the point of performing if there is no one to watch and what is the point of sponsorship if no one is there to see it. I don't want much, just a team who tries to create chances and tries to win, then with it will come better entertainment and maybe more supporters. Is that too much too ask? I read the Dale forum to see what is going on at the Dale and to hear fellow supporters views on the Dale. I know other topics are discussed but I come on her for a bit of enjoyment, not to have peoples political views thrown in your face when you sign in. If I wanted that I would watch the BBC or read the Gaurdian. I know it's about opinions but can we have more football and less politics please. Imo of course. |

If we are hoping that the other two centre backs are going to cover for Williams lack of pace..then that is a worry for me, as who is going to cover for Mcnulty and Delaney as IMO Williams is more mobile than both of them. Delaney has no pace and is turned very easily and Mcnulty whilst a better positional defender also has no pace. |
| Forum Reply | Keith Hill interview at 12:41 13 May 2018
The problem we have is, if we want more supporters to take interest in all things Dale then interviews etc need to be more accessible. Having to subscribe (or register, sorry ddb just re-read you op ) to watch something puts up barriers and we can not afford to do this with our level of support. I know it only takes a few seconds to subscribe but a lot of people (myself included) don't want to be giving away all my data everytime I want to watch something. If by watching a Hilly interview cements the support of one person by just being able to casually point and click then (IMO) it must be worth it. [Post edited 13 May 2018 15:08]

Thanks for your reply Dalien, but it's not about being able to stomach it, it's about reading a messageboard without every thread turning into a slanging match. I can tell people where to go with the best of them, however I won't do it on a messageboard. If I want to call someone a knob head for example I will do it to their face and I will give them the courtesy of knowing who called them and not from behind a keyboard. Slagging people off and name calling is not debate, not good for humanity and is not seeing things differently. Perhaps I am a snowflake and I live in the past but this messageboard has definitely (IMO) gone down hill, with posters seeing a red flag when someone they don't like/agree with posting resulting in a slagging match. That's how I see it, but look back on the threads of late and just about every thread disintegrates into a slanging match between certain posters. I know of lots of people who read the forum but don't post on it and you tend to find its the same people posting all the time. (maybe they all have broad shoulders and enjoy the name calling), I don't and think it is embarrassing. We often wonder if the manager/team/directors read this forum and would it influence them into giving us a say on matters, I hope they don't as it makes us all look like sqaubling immature children. As a final point I would like to thank Col and his administration team for providing this forum for us all to have a say and vent anger somtimes and this is no way an attack on the forum or admin team. That's all I have to say on this thank you. |

agree 100%. I like to come on and read about all things Dale related and like to listen to other fans opinions on the games etc... Some things I agree with some things I don't, but if I don't agree with them I will press the like button, if I disagree them I press the don't like button. Sometimes when I feel I have something to say I will post (not often I Admit) but I never start to slag off another person's view or get personal. In my opinion (Baton down the Hatches) certain posters are ruining this once really good forum and turned it into a personal bitchfest. I don't know the ages of posters on here and probably don't know many, but reading some of the topics, it comes across as though we have some very intelligent members on here who given their possible ages and professional working experience in life should know Better! Reading the board you wouldn't think we all support the same club. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we dont, if you have a different opinion why not try debating them instead of firing ego cannons and ruining the board for everyone. |

Tonight our tactics were abysmal... Let's keep chipping the ball into the box at every opportunity....no idea, no width, no one attacking the box (until Dobrev came on) utter rubbish. Should have stayed with the sand pit Keith because we can't play football on grass with those tactics. |

League survival for me, as long as we give a good account of ourselves on Sunday. A draw would be ideal then defeat at Wembley. If we go down we could lose out on the chances of playing Sunderland, Birmingham in the league. Being greedy though both 😠|

I think if we carry on playing Cannon, Camps and Kitchen in midfield we have a chance. Let's hope we can keep them injury free and Keith keeps picking them. |

Callum Camps going the other way????? I know anyone can update Wikipedia but Callum Camps Wikipedia page says current club Blackburn Rovers squad number 4. Maybe some mischief making but just picking up on someone linking him there the other day on here. |

Thanks for collecting questions 442. Could you ask about the quality of the food at the catering kiosks. Since the take over of the stadium the quality of food has seriously declined to the point myself and friends no longer use it at all, resulting in the football club losing much needed match day revenue. We ALL (6 of us) who attend together used to buy the foot long sausage (when it was real sausage and not dog food in a skin), this has now stopped, even the pies are now inedible. Thanks in advance. |

I think he moved dugouts to stop the opposing manager / staff from being able to try and influence the linesman by being in his ear for 90 mins. |

Yourself ( ddb ) and the Wolves fans rate Conor very highly and after what I have read from yourself and the Wolves fans board he seems a very talented and exciting player. Seems a shame that we are not going to have the pleasure of a loan deal to see if he is the real deal. I hope he does well at Pompy but not against us! ☺ |

I don't understand what is wrong with the questions above being asked. Non of them are offensive or too invasive, just questions about Rochdale FC who Hill is the manager of and the very one person who will know the answers to the above questions. Why would a reporter be afraid to ask relevant questions or to be able to ask Keith to substantiate or deny rumours. He only has to say sorry I don't want to answer that or bat it away, Is Keith Hill really that unapproachable to be interviewed? So much for team Rochdale if that is the case and such a shame. |
| Forum Reply | Yes I am going to ask that question at 08:44 28 Aug 2016
Jimlidale, I wouldn't apologise for asking a question (whether it's been asked before or not) I am of belief this board was set up by some very dedicated Dale fans as a fans forum where Dale fans of all ages, male or female could discuss their views or give their opinions on all things Dale related. I don't post on here much, but read it every day as a Dale supporter/fan as I expect many people do and I would imagine more people read the board than post on it. On being more of a reader than poster what i don't like to read is when someone posts something that they disagree with then they go on the attack by insulting the poster or their views with insults like 'mong' or 'mong warning'. It is the equivalent of when people discussed immigration during the referendum they were called 'racist', they do this in order to shut down the conversation or make you feel small. I hope you carry on asking questions as it creates debate and with debate sometimes you get answers or ideas. If posters disagree with another poster why not engage with them in debate or conversation without the need for name calling or trying to belittle them, for me this would encourage more readers to post which would inturn create a better read and board. Before I finish, I would like to add that I enjoy some of the posts/topics on here until it turns into an insult fest. To those posters who post a lot, thank you, I read them every day. To those posters who post a lot with the need to insult, please think as the poster may be posting for the first (and last if insulted) time and the more people who are encouraged to contribute the better the board. |

Add myself and the two I normally go with to that list. We have been season ticket holders for the last day couple of years and didn't renew because of the no early bird reduction seeing the season ticket increase. We have decided to pick and choose our games this year and the starting line up today meant we choose against going. I live in the real world and know Dale won't win every week and may never play higher than we do now. However I go to watch football to be entertained and if we win it's a bonus. The players picked today didn't shout out to me entertainment! If Donal our only real flair player had started then maybe, but to start with bunny and Thompson, just made me feel that I would not be getting value for money. Joey T cannot beat a man and Joe bunny is an I impact sub at best. It's all about choices and I'm afraid to say Hilly's choice of line up influenced my choice not to attend today. 😣 [Post edited 20 Aug 2016 18:22]

| Forum Reply | No-one's mentioned those drums? at 10:36 1 May 2016
Yesterday the two young lads had a chap with them taking them around the ground. It looks like they were testing the response from the crowd. If we want to attract young children then unfortunately we will have to accommodate the drums somewhere as it will stop the kids getting bored and they can get involved. However I would have to take a NIMBY stance as having the drums banging near myself for 90 mins would drive me nuts. So it is imperative that the junior section must be given a section of the ground IE the family stand in the TDS. Supporters can then make the decision whether to sit nearwith them etc... |

I don't post much but I couldn't resist! This buryyyy guy is brilliant, can we keep him? We could dress him up in a little jester outfit and give him a mic and he could do the half time entertainment. Better still we could hire him out for parties! Please be nice to him, we don't want to scare him off 😂😂😂😂 |

If memory serves me right, Scott Tanser was superb at centre back when he first broke into the team. |
