Thanks to all who have expressed support for Rod, he appreciates it as do all anti racists.
Here's an update from him
AN UPDATE Just a quick message to say that the RIVALS ON THE PITCH UNITED AGAINST RACISM campaign organised jointly by Swansea City and Cardiff City supporters has had been unbelievable and phenomenal in the last 24 hours with THOUSANDS supporting our campaign! Support has come from Swansea and Cardiff fans and also all around the country!!! The unity both set of fans have shown has been very powerful. The fact that 2 sets of fans who are fierce rivals on the pitch can unite on an important issue like this sets a great example to other rival clubs around the country and around the world. Yes Swansea and Cardiff are rivals but we are brothers and sisters together in our fight again racism.
Thank you all for your phenomenal support so far and please for those that haven’t yet, please fill in the details below to show our unity by sending a video with a short message or picture to show your support.
(I am posting this for him for fairly obvious reasons)
A MESSAGE TO ALL WELSH FOOTBALL FANS FROM ROD, A SWANSEA CITY FAN ABUSED BY THE FAR RIGHT
"Hi there, this is a message about an anti racism campaign Swansea and Cardiff fans are doing in the run up to the derby game on 20th March.
The message simply is this RIVALS ON THE PITCH BUT UNITED AGAINST RACISM.
With the appalling racist abuse that Yan Dhanda had following the game against Man City, it re-emphasises the importance of players taking the knee in the fight to end racism.
Could you please spare a few seconds to *make a video or photo of yourself taking the knee to be used in our social media and hopefully on a giant banner displayed at the game; please send it back to us standuptoracismswansea@gmail.com * add your name here . https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfZUSZ8qjf5TxKzdo5FsHanCbrurn3TUTkFW0s-
The campaign against racism is so so important.
If you could spare a few seconds to do the video / photo and show your support to Yan Dhanda and also in the campaign against racism, that would be brilliant.
Thanks for your time,
Best Regards
Rod

Hi. does anyone know a decent electrician in the area?
My mother is keen to get my recently deceased father's turntable running again. It just seems to have a loose connection in one of the speaker outputs and everything else works fine. The bloke in Sketty said it wasn't worth his time looking at it. Mum is keen to get it working as it was special for Dad. Any ideas appreciated.
As I remember it, most of Huw's appointments have taken time. And most have worked. Better to get it right now than to rush into a mistake we'll regret from the Championship... In the meantime Mr Alan Curtis seems very capable.
Great front cover, openly controversial in a sick world. I dare you to sell it outside when the appalling Farage lowers the tone at the Liberty by rolling up to peddle his bigotry...
Thanks everyone for help, I'll probably use the Oxfam shop.
When I say it's 'dodgy punk' that's wjhat it is, Conflict / Anti Nowhere League / Crass / Sham 69 / Peter and Test Tube Babies - nothing that I'd keep myself, despite having lots of punk records and running my own (dodgy?) punk label, R*E*P*E*A*T Records.
So if anyone fancies any of the above (and some 90s alternative rock CDs) head down there!
Agree about the need for a vinyl shop in Swansea - I now live in Cambridge and 2 vinyl only shops have just opened there this year, and the new releases I put out have been vinyl only.
I am trying to clear out some of my brother's vinyls and CDs as he has moved to America. Lots of dodgy punk but also some nice stuff. Is there a charity shop in Swansea where records are valued and not just pit in a 10p bin? I don't want to go through the rigmarole of selling them, just want to give them away where they might be appreciated. Any ideas appreciated. Ta
I once dreamed I'd live to see the Swans play again in the top flight, maybe beat a few top Premier League teams and even pick up some major silver ware.
Not seen this online before, bloke behind it used to go to matches around the London area. He put out several tracks using the name SuperCute including 'Welsh Bands Suck' with the line "Apart from Helen Love they're a load of sh*te"
This track was backed by said Helen Love (disguised as Superlove)'s 'Cardiff City', which despite ripping off Banana Splits, was said to have got them guest tickets at Ninian Park. Teen Anthems track didn't go down so well at The Vetch with the powers that were at the time.
For some reason Helen Love came from Swansea and supported C*rdiff. So I ripped them off ripping Banana Splits off for a single I did for my local club, Cambridge City. Spot the Swans in it...
