Jan Bednarek Set To leave Southampton

The bottom line is that he is an ok defender but does not have the (any) pace to cope with our current playing system. I think Ralph did extremely well to keep us up last year and is a football manager not someone in a popularity poll. He has a system that he has a lot of faith in and if the board can bring in the players he wants I think we are in for a good season ahead. Do not forget that next year clubs can use 5 substitutes so there is always a place for Mr Long.

Southampton Duo Sign Contract Extensions

There have been suggestions that McCarthy had signed a new contract (3yrs) recently but do not know if that is correct. I must admit I was hoping that is not true and we would have a clear out and bring in a really good keeper (Henderson or even Johnstone). I do not think McCarthy is good enough to be a no 1 and personally I would rather have Fraser starting. Great news on Tella though we have some great young players committed to us.

Hilarious really brightened up my day. it will be a shame to lose him if he does go but there is probably a good replacement lined up. We just need to lay some more false trails to stop Liverhampton cutting out the middle man and going for our real targets. COYR
