I think some of our players need an unknown. If it was a journeyman manager I reckon a few of the squad will be rocking up today with a few preconceived ideas. "Warnock is coming in today and he'll tell me I've been rubbish and I won't stand for it"
But instead they'll all hopefully be coming in with intrigue thinking who is this guy?

I played an away fixture for my school team in year 9 (about 16 years ago) and the PE teacher of the other school was Mr (Dave) Thomas

This account is more in homage to my first car who was given the same name. Current set of wheels is called Jermaine Darlington

Phones stay in bags off unless the teacher has "reasonable circumstance" for them to be used. Felt that applied here. Only other time it did was when a kid in my tutor group was mascot for Southampton at old Trafford last season

First thread here.

Anyway, I'm a maths teacher down in Southampton. Question arose in my year 10 lesson where they had to find the area of triangle 'QPR' (not intentional). They start talking about "isn't that the football team?" And one kid said "yeah my uncle played for them...uncle Don." Keep football quiet at work but I immediately questioned Don who? And he pulls out his phone and shows me a selection of photos of him and Don Givens at family events, turns out it's his great nephew.

First time I've had anything like that in my career. The only connection I've had before is when I say next the Brett Angell's nephew in maths in junior school!

Literally made an account just to agree with this. Get off at junction 7 on the M27 for hedge end and park up in woolston or bursledon. Walk over the bridge to the ground. If you cross the Itchen Bridge there's ocean village which has spoons and isn't too far from the ground. It's also victorious festival in Portsmouth for those coming down the A3/M27. I'm just on the cusp of the new forest getting the bus in and have a summerhouse bar in the back garden all sorted
